Situation

GES had a website that was outdated and the content did not accurately articulate the types of services offered to prospective clients by the company.

Solution

A ten year old small business located in the District of Columbia, Greenscape engaged McDaniel and Company to rebrand and create website content that was an accurate representation of their current business model. Over a period of 4 months, a new website, whose design was managed by McDaniel and Company, was created along with new content and messaging to aid in growing and expanding the company’s business. In addition, McDaniel and Company hired and directed a photo-shoot of the company’s clients to include on the newly designed website.

Purchase Black.Com

 

Situation

A two-year old online marketplace, Purchase Black was in serious need of a clear marketing message and a website that was reflective of the types of clients and partners they were seeking to secure.

Solution

McDaniel and Company was hired to create messaging and help to develop a clear strategy to establish and grow the business. In order to carry out the assignment, an in-depth analysis was conducted to determine who their clients were and who were the ideal market partners in order to fulfill the overall mission of the company.

In order to launch the company properly, McDaniel and Company offered an additional service to gain media placement.

Choc’late Soldiers from the USA

 

Situation

Documentarian and film producer, Sonny Izon came to McDaniel and Company with a concept and rough cut of a documentary for which they were interested in securing a venue for screening, plan and organize the screening event and secure sponsorships and funding in order to complete the documentary.

Solution

McDaniel and Company worked with the film makers over a period of 6 months to rebrand through logo creation, messaging and website content creation. McDaniel and Company also identified, secured and worked with and through the African American Museum of History and Culture (Smithsonian) to screen the documentary at the Hirshhorn Museum. The event opened to a standing room only crowd and received rave reviews from press. McDaniel and Company also organized media placements through Fox Television and radio stations.

Metro Cooking DC

 

Situation

The organizers for this annual event engaged McDaniel and Company to provide video production services which included interviewing and taping exhibitors and local celebrity presenters of the event.

Solution

McDaniel and Company provided agency-produced and conducted interviews in order to capture the event over a two-day period.

Sroka Designs

 

Situation

Known for high-end and exceptional interior design, owner Skip Sroka was interested in capturing in a very succinct way, the essence of what made his firm unique.

Solution

McDaniel and Company conducted in-depth interviews with the owner on a personal level and with other members of the organization in order to develop a clear directive of what the overall message of the firm should be. Consequently, web content and a clear marketing message was created to reflect the overall mission of the business.

Harris Publications

 

Situation

As a magazine publisher with nine national publications under its umbrella, Harris Publications traditionally engages the services of free-lance writers to create content for the magazines. McDaniel and Company began work with the publisher as a freelance writer to write an article on a New York based interior designer.

Solution

McDaniel and Company was hired to interview and create articles for design assignments. McDaniel and Company was responsible for creating articles for Small Room Decorating. McDaniel and Company was also responsible for pitching and receiving an assignment for DC designer Patrick Brian Jones whose work was featured on the cover of the magazine.

Restore Happy

 

Situation

Entertainment and non-profit organization, Beats, Rhymes and Relief came to McDaniel and Company with a concept and idea to create an art exhibition event on the National Mall to feature art that had been created by Syrian Refugee children.

Solution

McDaniel and Company secured sponsors in the form of in-kind and monetary and was also engaged to consult on the creation of the two day event. McDaniel and Company secured both in-kind and monetary sponsors in addition to overseeing the preservation of the canvasses in order to protect the art. McDaniel and Company also arranged the introduction of Marsha Ralls who is world-renowned for her expertise in art curation, whose introduction resulted in media coverage and support from agencies whose job it is to support global initiatives of this kind.

Candice Camille

 

Situation

As a woman who was seeking to hit “restart”, Candice Camille was a welcoming challenge. Having lost a business, survived cancer and widowed, Candice was counting on McDaniel and Company to help her to identify and launch the fierce woman that was hiding underneath it all.

Solution

Over the course of twelve months McDaniel and Company worked closely with the client to understand her history and extract from that history a formidable brand. As a result, Candice Camille – The Wellologist was launched. McDaniel and Company directed the creation of a fresh and powerful logo, created content for website and managed the overall fresh and modern design in order to connect the client to a global audience.

Women Are Talking

 

Situation

A ten-year old global initiative, Women Are Talking was in need of a corporate partner and a physical event to expand the global initiative.

Solution

McDaniel and Company negotiated and secured a partnership with communications giant, AT&T who began the first year of their sponsorship with an event to reach around the world. It is estimated that the audience was in excess of 1 million women. Media coverage for the event to secured for Voices of America who connected their global audience via radio and online.

Subsequently, AT&T sponsored the following year’s event on their Northern Virginia campus with a live event hosting women from around the DMV in addition to women from other countries and states. The event was streamed live and a social media event was also created hosting women in over 50 countries and the USA.
